Having a strong neck is not something only for classic western boxing. It is essential in Sanda (aka Chinese Boxing) as well, not only for the striking phases but also for the wrestling moves where the head can be key to a successful take down, or to avoid one.

How To :

– WARM UP BEFORE DOING THE FOLLOWING EXERCISES AND CHECK HOW TO STRETCH YOUR NECK AT THE END OF THE VIDEO –
#1 Isometric Neck Pull (with elastic band) :

– 2 to 3 sets per side
– 1 minute hold per side

#2 Neck and Jaw Weighted Raises :
– 12 to 20 reps per set
– 3 to 4 sets

#3 Pressured “Yes and No” :
– 12 to 20 reps per set
– 3 to 4 sets per side
